I am happy with it though, and I intend to shoot it as opposed to my numbers matching 1913 Luger that I am afraid of breaking one of the numbered parts on it and destroying the value. ![]() I paid $550 for this one and in addition to the numbers matching the barrel is cyq marked and the magazine is WWII with eagle over 135 on it, which is, I believe a Walther inspector. All other edges on the gun are sharp and look correct.Īs for the value, I have been looking for a decent P38 for about a year now, and I have yet to see a wartime gun for under $500 and most of those at that price point were very beat. If there had been some kind of polishing done on the slide, I believe that the machining marks on the slide would have been removed. As for the front edges of the slide being somewhat rounded, I have looked at it under a very strong magnifying glass and I believe that it was made that way.
